It revealed that there were 247 homicide victims in Australia in the 12-month period to the end of June 2023, 75 of whom were women. Of the 75 women, 34 or 45.3 percent were killed by a current or former male intimate partner, up from 26 in the previous 12 months. Overall 60 women were killed by men in 2022-23.
